Directions to Stony Brook Orchids Greenhouse

The map below does generate accurate directions to our greenhouse, but the directions generated use obscure, poorly marked roads in our area. To avoid getting lost, I suggest following:

If you are coming from the south or east:

• From PA: take I-95 North to exit 4 (Route 31, Pennington) in New Jersey. Exit 4 is the fourth exit after you cross the Delaware River.
• From South Jersey: take I-295 North to I-95 South to exit 4 (Route 31, Pennington). I-295 North changes into I-95 South at the intersection with Route 1, same road-different name.
• From the Jersey shore: take I-195 East to I-295 North to I-95 South to exit 4 (Route 31, Pennington)
• From exit 4 take Route 31 North to Delaware Avenue, take it easy going through the Pennington circle. At the intersection of Route 31 and Delaware Avenue you will see the Pennington Quality Market on the right.
• Turn right on Delaware Avenue. Go through Pennington on Delaware Avenue, the road curves to the left as you leave town. Observe the 25 mph speed limit. The Pennington police are very active.
• Turn right on Elm Ridge Road (First traffic light).
• Turn right at the first driveway on the right, next to the 90 acre farm field, and the Stony Brook Orchids sign.
• Proceed down the long driveway, and take the gravel drive to the right of the garage back to the greenhouse.

If you are coming from the North or West:

• From North Jersey or New York: take the NJ Turnpike South to I-195 East to I-295 North to I-95 South to exit 4 (Route 31, Pennington). Take Route 31 North to Delaware Avenue. Follow the directions below to the greenhouse.
• From Western North Jersey: take I-295 South to Route 202 South to Route 31 South to the intersection of Route 31 and Delaware Avenue in Pennington. Follow directions below to our greenhouse.
• From West Pennsylvania: take I-78 East to I-295 South to Route 202 South to Route 31 South to Delaware avenue. Follow directions below to our greenhouse.
• From West Pennsylvania: take the Pennsylvania Turnpike to Route 1 North. Take Route 1 North to I-95 North to exit 4 (Route 31, Pennington) in New Jersey. Follow directions below to the greenhouse.
• At the intersection of Route 31 and Delaware Avenue you will see the Pennington Quality Market.
• If you are on Route 31 South - Turn left
• If you are on Route 31 North - Turn right
• Cross the steep hump over the railroad tracks, pass the Pennington School on your right.
• Go through Pennington on Delaware Avenue, the road curves to the left as you leave town. Observe the 25 mph speed limit. The Pennington police are very active.
